Death of Grandmother
107 х 127
acrylic on canvas
When you come to your grandmother’s home, she always abundantly arranges the table, treats you to eat with relish, takes delight in your eating. Grandmother’s home associates with the pretty table prepared, both on holidays and working days. Grandmother’s home is the gentle warmth, which surrounds you, when you cross the threshold of the house, take off your shoes in the corridor, take off your coat, and take a seat in the kitchen, breathing in the aroma of the food. You watch the rays of sun coming into the kitchen through the window, and your grandmother is moving around the kitchen and asking you how your life is going.
When a grandmother dies, a big empty hole remains in our heart. But the memories about the grandmother’s table and kitchen will remain with us forever.
