The painting was created during the art residency “Aura of the city. Checkpoint.” While staying in Starobilsk, I went to the local second-hand shop and entered into a conversation with an elderly lady at the counter. She told me that when there were shootings and explosions near her house, she felt so terrible fear that she couldn’t sleep. Home preserved foods explode in the snowy forest, taking a red horse away from sleep.
