The painting is dedicated to Emir-Useyin Kuku, sentenced in 2019 to 12 years in a maximum-security prison on trumped-up charges for resisting the russian government in the annexed Crimea. Emir- Useyin, a Crimean Tatar, led active social activities and was the deputy head of the religious Muslim community of the village Coreiza "Eren Evliya". He spoke out against the occupation and against russian violations of human rights.
"On February 11, 2016, on a very cold morning, we woke up from an extremely loud stomping sound," recalls Maryem Kuku, the wife of a political prisoner. “The people who came started banging very hard on our door. But the door turned out to be strong and it was not possible to break it, although part of the wall still fell out”. Having broken into the house, the attackers took Emir-Useyin and conducted a thorough search of the house.
The picture shows the house of the Crimean Tatars against the background of mountains. The building has a golden dome, symbolizing the purity of faith and high moral and ethical principles of its residents. From the split in the earth, from the very fire of hell, red snakes are heading towards the door of the house, trying to break in, destroy, kill. For the sake of evil itself in its black essence. Serpents are heading from the bottom of hell by long stairs to the bright house. Emir-Useyin collected coins. The coins pouring out of the house symbolize the ruined life of Emir-Useyin and his family. The golden handkerchiefs blowing in the wind from the windows of the house symbolize the tears and despair of Meryem, Emir-Useyin's wife, when her husband was taken from the house and sent to prison.
