"Both Sides of the Border Face East" is a multilingual, transnational project on issues of responsibility, writing and translation in Central and Eastern Europe, with a special focus on Ukraine. The project took place in Ukraine from June 23 to July 2, 2023, and included an international workshop at the Nazariy Voitovych Art Residency in Ternopil region and a series of public events in Lviv.
On July 2, an exhibition of Ukrainian artists "Both Sides of the Border Face East" was opened at the HallArtHall, Hnat Khotkevych Palace of Culture.

The project "Both Sides of the Border Face East" was developed and organized by Yulia Sushytska (Occidental College, Los Angeles) with the support of the Nazariy Voitovych Art Residency / NVAIR (Ternopil region, Travneve village) and curator Lucy Nychai.
